Evidence of actual quilting has been historically noted in Ancient Egypt, during the time of Caesar and the Romans, intertwining itself throughout world history and most notably in early U.S. homes. As a marker for community, a method of sharing a story, documenting history, warmth and comfort and commercial reward, the most renowned quilts in recent years have come from the Amish communities within the United States.

Quillows, or quilted pillows, brought to our attention by the Amish, provide artisans the opportunity to uniquely showcase their quilting prowess on a small part of the blanket, the pillow pocket, without the time and expense of an entire quilt. Folded, our quillow provides a cozy pillow for throbbing heads, aching backs, sleeping babies, furry friends and more. Open, our standard size quillow (6’ x 5’) has room to share and a pocket for feet.

The Komfort Kwillow™ is made of fleece, washable in cool water and adorned by its fabric pattern and carefully selected trim.  Affordable and transportable, a portion of each sale is presented to selected children's charities for special programs assisting children in need.
